Who are the Best Up and coming Cuemakers

I am interested in opinions as to who are the best up and coming cue makers and are thought to be good investments. Cues to buy that are most likely to significantly increase in value in the future.

I was away from the game for about 12 years and collected Paul Mottey's and Richard Blacks primarily.

I bought a few Cues from an unknown maker at the time that you may have heard of, LoL! by the name of Richard Harris and his "Blue Grass Cues", the only reason I even heard of him at the time was that he was buying ferrules from a good friend of mine in Cleveland and was shocked as to the increase in value of his work recently. I bought a 6 point snake wood cue for $675.00 and an Ivory joint Bacote cue with Mother of Pearl and Ivory inlays for $675.00 also and now I see these cues are worth in excess of $3500.00 each. I also bought a Paul Mottey Ivory joint cue with a bunch of Ivory inlays for $750.00 that now sells for over $4000.00.

I have caught the fever again and am looking to buy cues to play with and to also put away for investment and thought I would post this to get some opinions as to which cue makers people think are the best investment for long term value increases.

I also attached a pic of a few of the cues I referenced above, boy I wish I had bought more back in the day when prices were a lot lower than they are now. There are a few Richard Blacks in it also that I bought really cheap.

"If we only knew then what we know now"

Please share your thoughts and opinions as I am sure there are many out there who would like to make a good investment for the future. Personally I will probably never sell mine but would like to leave a good inheritance for someone someday.

Thanks for everyone's time and opinions.

Ken

If you know how to invest in stocks, or art, or automobiles, or baseball cards, then you know how to invest in cues. I have invested in all of the above and can tell you the principles are the same. I am most successful in art and least successful in stocks with cues falling some where in between.

From what you already own I would tell you to just keep doing the same thing you did in the past and for the same reasons. Best of luck.

Should check out John Bender here in Jersey....He learned a few things from Black and is coming along nicely.

hmmm... baseball cards are worth shit ....i have a trunk full .....worth less than i paid ....

once hyperinflation hits every kind of asset is going to be worth shit ....so sell them now ....

oh wow ....a beautiful cue .... oh wow .... doesn't make the game any more enjoyable

falling asset classes ..... I would suggest liquidating ....

i only keep my Brunswick kling table because I love it and use it ....otherwise it needs to go ...

i should probably sell my 72 chevy nova SS ...but it was my first car and I just can't part with it...

pool is enjoying a slow death and so are cues ...

btw...here is what a fully restored brunswick kling goes for ....
