Who is Jin Hu Dang? In the group stage, he beat Ronnie Alcano and Johnny Archer. In the first round of the knockout stage, he defeated Chin Shun Yang. He is also listed as a "first alternate". Does anyone have any more info on this relative unknown from China?

He might be the house pro at one of our local pool rooms. I forget the guy's name but he was the Chinese national champion last year. If it's the same guy I am thinking of he plays really strong.

I saw him play during the qualifiers and he plays really really strong. He is someone to look out for in future.He reached final in 2 consecutive qualifiers.I am looking forward to him and wang ming both are superb players.I have been told that most of the house pros in china are taiwanese players like fang pang chao, and chinese are working hard on playing pool.

When I lived in Shanghai I saw Dang play there a lot. He is very strong and plays in the same group with Fu Jian Bo, Li HeWen and the other top China pros. Just doesn't get outside China very often.

His younger sister was a teaching pro in Shanghai 2-3 years ago and also is a very good player.

Wang Ming is another Chinese pro who plays in Shanghai and got pretty far in WTB until being knocked out by Li HeWen.
