av84fun said:Mike, what are the smoking rules at Mr. Cues 2 and Side Pockets?
I and quite a few others can't do smoking-allowed events. But I know what a TOUGH issue that is because so many pool players still smoke.

Jim

MikeJanis said:Jim, have you played in any of the Viking Tour events ?
av84fun said:Yes. One of your Open events a couple of years ago. I sponsored Bobby Pickle and played myself. I don't recall where but somewhere not too far from Nashville.

av84fun said:No, not that one. I think that was the year I first met Bobby at the DCC and we hadn't become good friends.
I think it was 2-3 years ago.
Sorry I don't remember the city. Did you have one in Chattanooga at a place other than Diamonds???

Jim
MikeJanis said:Charlie's place ? it was a $2,000 added flop. Even though we had less than expected for players (22?) we still added the $2K. That was one of the events thet the word GUARANTEED cost me a little but hey. Sometime it's a crap shoot.
Bar Tables in the side room and 1 for action in front of the Bar. That place right ?
Pickle was in some kind of action the entire time. Were you backing him ?
av84fun said:YEP...that was it and yes, I backed Bobby in the event and the action. Came out winners too.
I got to 5-1 against a top roadie whose name I don't recall...missed a shot and had two more hail mary shots the rest of the match!
All glory is fleeting!!!
I do recall it was a small turnout but a VERY well run event.
Sorry I can't do smoking events any more. I actually get dizzy and a severe headache. What finished it for me was having to walk out of a JOBs tournament with one more win to get into the finals!!!
I have heard that ex-smokers like me can sometimes get more severe allergic reactions than those who have never smoked. I realize there is nothing you can do about it.
