who is tor lowery

I'll be filmed by Tor for "14 Days: The Great Pool Experiment" beginning April 15th.

I may not have time to document it on here as we go along, but I hope to write down a quick daily diary. Then, after Tor is finished filming, I can attempt to sit down and elaborate to fill in the missing blanks.

Man congratulations ! I would love to do it. If you can fill us in a little along the way that would be great ! I would bet money that your game will go up. Take advantage of this; its great !

Tor Lowry

His stuff is clear, concise and beautifully explained, and who else is selling a wealth of knowledge for $10? If you think he can't play try running a few racks of ten-ball yourself and see what you think then.

I would like to see the two instructors match up.

Well, IF your thinking is that the winner of that match-up would automatically have more to offer you with instruction, you would be very misguided in your thinking.

,

I teach baseball.. guess what... I use the exact same batting stuff that was taught to me by Bill Madlock 20 years ago that I got from several paid lessons from him..... and I've taught thousands of kids the method... and when I write a book on baseball instruction one day, that info will be in there as well, with nothing for old Bill or the folks that taught Bill. They could have wrote a book and chose not to... oh well. Even if they did, I can still teach what I "know" and what I know is how to hit from learning from Bill Madlock (4-time NL batting champion).

Walt Hriniak was a long time MLB hitting coach who once played for Charlie Lau. Lau taught the style where the hitter releases the top hand after contact, ala Frank Thomas. I remember Hriniak describing his teaching method as the Charlie Lau method as taught by Walt Hriniak.

I bought the Zero X system.

It may be his take on it or his idea, I don't care, it is easy enough for a mush mind like mine to use, so it gets a big thumbs up by me:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:.

As for he well he plays, watch him shoot via youtube (as many others have said). He rates way higher than me, and his instruction via DVD works for me too.

As a side note, I have All Bob Byrnes tapes, Jimmy Reids tapes, Max Eberle, and many others. Thinks ranks up there for me.

The proof is in the pudding...

Tor's stuff is top notch. He is a very good communicator and simplifies the process. I've not seen much better teaching material, and the price is amazing.

I don't care how well he plays but it's quite obvious that he can play quite well. I don't think Lou Holtz was a great football player but he could certainly teach any team the game! YMMV

What was Angelo Dundee's boxing record?

0 - 0

He never even wore a pair of boxing gloves! But he trained world champions.

I've been looking at all the free stuff Tor has on YouTube for awhile now. Yesterday I decided it was time to pay the man back and buy his whole series.

$19.95 buys you:

- Secrets Revealed: 2 hrs, 53 min
- Banking: 1 hr, 11 min
- Kicking: 2 hrs, 34 min
- Kicking (bonus): 13 min
- Ball Pocketing: (Bonus) 15 min
- Ball Pocketing: (E-book) over 60 pockets drills from beginner to advanced

Over 6 hours of extremely useful instruction, with very little fluff anywhere. Time to get to work.

You won't regret it SP. I have had all of his videos for quite some time. No one has done it better than Zero-X.

I personally like the Kicking series. Those two videos will teach you everything you need to know for safety play, position play and of course kicking.

Lot of stuff to practice. But damn its fun. :-)

I'm stoked. I never could kick for shit. That's one of the reasons I always shoot at everything. No use starting a safety battle I can't possibly win.

Walt was a good one. He helped Thomas reach the HOF :)
