Who needs JP's, when you've got JB!

Just a quick comment about JB's Ultra Interior. I know many of you already have them, so call me Johnny-come-lately.

Wow! What a difference! I'm not yet sure how it will perform over the next 10-20 years, but my shafts and butts are verrrry comfy in their new home!!!

You really don't need joint protectors any more (although that doesn't cover outside of the case). I've never seen cloth dividers and outer liners do as well or better than tubes, but JB's do! (and I've made a few liners myself over the years...) Also, as noted by John himself, the cues are snug, but not tight. They slide right out when you pull, but will NOT fall out if turned upside down.

Look ma, no JP's! (and that's ivory inside!)

My cues thank you, I thank you, John.

:-) You're welcome - always my pleasure to provide protection that makes you comfortable with how your gear is stored.

I still like JP's to go along with my JB INTERIOR!

I agree with you. My cues can't get too much protection and the time it takes to put my JP's on and off is so small that i'll always use them. If they save a joint pin just one time they've made the little bit of extra trouble worth while. I could stop using the JP's for my shafts without worry, but I can't stop using the joint pin protector.

For those who think a joint protector is a doorman

A cue is most vulernable to moisture at the end grain.
The rest of the cue is protected by finish or your natural oils.

That's a great case....but use your joint protectors

pt < who can't find his some of the time..:o

Alright folks, the point of the thread was that the JB interior protects the heck out of your cues, and keeps them in place extremely well.

Aside from ivory jointed cues, I have custom made ivory JP's too.
OF COURSE I STILL USE MY JP's!!!!!!!!!!

I'd use them on a piece of crap sneaky pete too. I always use JP's, even on my jump-handle and shaft.

Just saying, that Ultra Pad interior is like a hug from mom!!! It even keeps my jp's safe, :)

I don't use my JPs. I just can't be bothered with all that screwing and then where to put them???

No matter what case I am using I will rarely have JPs on my cue. Unless I am wanting to show off the matching jps like these that come on the Fury Evolutions I own, then I use them;

"I just can't be bothered with all that screwing"

I'm gonna pretend I didn't read that, lol!

Good looking Fury cue, btw!!!

I just want to remind everyone that these Justis Pro-Lite/Sport upgrade interiors are available any time. Right now we only do them for the 2x4 cases. On request we will make a 2x5 interior for you that fits into the 2x4 shell.

$65 Shipped for the cloth only portion. - You replace the liner yourself, takes 10-15 minutes.

$150 for the pre-assembled version - just pull the old one out and put the new one in. Takes less than five minutes. ($75 of the price here is for the shipping of the tube)

Here is a video explaining the process: http://www.vimeo.com/8168021

Please also be aware that doing this voids your lifetime warranty on the Justis case according to Jack. This procedure is not at all harmful to the covering and places no stress on any of the parts. And if you don't like it then it's just as easily reversible to put the case back into orginal condition.

Lastly, I don't offer interior replacements for any other cases at this time because most other cases are not setup to remove the interiors as easily. And I happen to have the exact tubes needed to do this for the Justis cases.
