Well, Irving Crane often said "Prepare well and play well, and when it's your turn to win, you'll win."

Not sure, though, whether that's the quote to which you mean to refer.
 
yeah its irving crane, danny diliberto mentions irving crane telling him that on an accu-stats video. I think its on the 2001 US Open finals match between corey and mika

Yup. Checket the match now and Danny says:

"You know how to play, play the balls, when it's your turn to win you're gonna win."
