In the winners' bracket tonight at 9:00 p.m., Nick Vanden berg vs. Charlie "Hillbilly' Bryant.
Charlie beat David Hemmah 11 to 7 to maintain his winners' bracket standing, and Nick Vanden Berg beat Local Hometown Player Eric Moore who earlier in
the tournament sent Corey Deuel to the B side in an exciting hill-hill.
Jose Parica will face his fellow Filipino Efren Reyes at 9:00 p.m. as well. This will be an EXCELLENT match to see on BCn. I sure do hope they put these two on the TV table. Jose defeated Tommy Kennedy 11 to 7 to get there, and Efren defeated Gabe Owen on the TV table earlier yesterday, which is old news by now. Gabe and Tommy will have to wait for a few losers' bracket matches to play out before they meet their opponent.
Also at 9:00 p.m. tonight in the winners' bracket: Tang Hoa vs. Niels Feijen, Jeremy Jones vs. A. Roschowsky, Ernesto Dominguez vs. Charlie Williams, Ralf Souquet vs. Sylver Ochoa, Troy Frank vs. Johnny Archer, and Alex Pagulayan vs. Francisco Bustamante. WOW, these will be some GREAT matches.
The losers' bracket is voluminous, so I picked one chart and wrote down some upcoming matches. At 3:00 p.m. today, EST:
U.S. Open Champion Reed Pierce vs. Lou Ulrich
U.S. Open Champion Corey Deuel vs. Vilmes Foldes.
Canadian Luc Salvas vs. Veteran Howard Vickery
Jamie Barracks vs. Dave Matlock
James Walden vs. Tony Crosby
Joey Korsiak vs. Richard Bromph [(sp) can't read my handwriting]
Italian Stalion Fabio Petroni vs. Bill Mason
Shane from South Dakoda vs. John Schmidt
I was told that Scott Frost got into a little friendly game of one-pocket with Billy Incardone last evening at Q-Masters, spotting him, 10/5.
Billy enjoyed a little jingle in his pocket when he played the colorful Little John EVEN. The old-school player Billy Incardone has still got game. Billy Incardone is scheduled to provide commentary for the upcoming TV table matches this weekend.
That's about it here in Chesapeake Beach. Wish I had more smut, but last evening Keith decided to play poker with a colorful Canadian sharp-shooter, a veteran champion player from New Jersey, and three Southern gentlemen from Lynchburg, Virginia. At 6:00 a.m. this morning, they called it a night (LOL).
