Why buy a cue that is over $300?

I agree that it isn't worth spending alot of money on a cue if all that matters is playability. My first cue was a Duffrin and 25 years ago, brand new, was easly less then a hundred dollars. It's deffinatly worth it's weight in gold. It rivals all the cues i ever used since. And that includes a schon that i played with for 12 years and my John Bender (from new jersey) which i use now. For me, it was about esthetics. Obviousely, i want a cue that can play but also a one of a kind that you will never find anywhere else.
