Why do people get so pissy when a person is using cap locks?

Just what is stated in the title why are people so pissy when others use cap locks? I know its considered yelling but what is really the big deal? I mean I would get more pissed if the person couldn't spell correctly and every other word took a map to figure out, than them using cap locks but just wanted to know why it bothers so many people?

Apparently you're a virtual newbie. Then learn Netiquette:

Sorry, it's just is that this virtual world is not supposed to be a jungle.

I'd like to quote Blade here: "Some motherf***ers are always trying ice-skate uphill."

:)

EDIT: "Rule 5.
When posting a message to a public bulletin board, forum, or newsgroup, stick to the topic. Don't indiscriminately post unrelated comments, or worse--advertisements--to every newsgroup you can think of. This practice, known as spamming, will quickly lead to another unpleasant Internet practice, flaming. What is flaming? Sometimes you might offend someone unintentionally. Be prepared to receive some angry e-mail or be treated rudely in a public discussion. This is called being flamed. If you attack back, you will spark a flame war. To contain the heat, the best response usually is no response at all. "

I think there are several posters here who should start following this rule.

Gotta tell ya - I wasn't necessarily a BIG fan of DM, but I'd much rather be reading (and lauging at) his posts right now then this silly, non-pool related crapola.

I suggest the original poster take these meaningless questions to an AOL chatroom.

HAL would have to really "care" first. LOL.

Just another reason it's rude. Being rude is one thing. Knowingly being rude and not caring just means you're an ass.

HAL is 80+ years old and not very computer savvy, nor is he very savvy about internet ettiquette. Im sure this does not keep him up at nights. He's a very nice man. You shouldnt say those things about him if you dont know him. Hal is "unknowingly rude" sometimes and its not because he's an ass, its because he just doesnt understand the internet.

I am not a virtual newbie! I know what the hell it is about I was just asking why do people get so pissed when someone writes in all caps I dont see the point. You can still read it clearly well as long as they can spell and spit out what they are trying to say correctly. But if you want to yell or whatever else why not use cap letters in bold that would seem more like yelling to me!

If you dont like the post then dont freakin click on it and read it! The reason I asked is because someone posted in caps on another thread that was about pool and everyone jumped down his ass for writing in caps. Why dont you go blow DM and laugh about that!

IMO it's harder to read.

Ok, ok, my bad.

At least for me, reading a long paragraph with capitol letters makes my eyes hurt. Regular text is easier to read, but it's just my two cents. Writing in caps is just a sure sign of ignorance or disregarding the rules or thinking to be above the rest of forum members.
