Why do pool players need so much time?

Even with every table at Yuan8 open having a shot clock, it’s almost as if some players energy and preparation makes time go slower. Watching Yap stroke his cue for 30 seconds a shot while playing stop shots on the 7 and 8, to reach the 9, was not entertainment.
But actually, some players take equal length to prepare a shot, but their energy makes that 30 seconds feel at a faster pace.

it may once in awhile take 30 seconds to study a layout or a shot but not to shoot one. that's slow play and should be not tolerated
by the tournament director.

They didnt do a very good job if they were trying to copy a Diamond. So that a Philippine Co. that makes those tables?? I don't have FB since I got hacked over a year ago so I cant look at the link.

I don't have Facebo at all. It's a public page. There might be a login banner that clicks off. That's it.

I particularly enjoy the pool matches where there is more incessant chalking than shooting.

That's almost as thrilling as matches where more time is spent racking the balls than running the rack.
