Why do valley tables still use lead acid batteries?

When does a lithium ion battery burst into flames?
From the post you quote:
if it's ever overcharged or over-discharged
Abused lithium batteries can fail very badly. Lead acid batteries just don't. For an application that doesn't benefit in the least from lithium's high energy density, low weight, and fast charge/discharge rates, lead acid are 100% the way to go.

I have had my phone charge for 8 plus hours cause I fell asleep. When I fell asleep it was at 90 percent. It has never exploded. With laptops I always leave them continuously plugged in. Those two things run lithium ion batteries. I have never had a problem. And neither has the vast majority of people.

No, you haven't. Your phone has controls and safeguards built in to prevent overcharge/discharge.

Lithium batteries are terrific, but they are not best suited for every application. Battery fires do happen with lithium. They don't with lead acid. Keep on arguing about something that you have no idea about though, it's a good look.

I agree I don't know much if anything about batteries. But maybe you could actually explain about them so we all could understand. I asked you when batteries explode and you just restated overcharging.

What is that? How does that happen? Why would that happen to a li ion battery in a pool table? Why wouldn't their be safe guards? Is there a way or a battery to go to so that the one vendor that does pool tables could go back to having a a dollar bill acceptor? These questions and more I would like answered so I can better understand the situation.

I think it's hilarious how many people respond to these posts. He provides entertainment - you decide if its good or bad

Laptops, how many do you have, one for each AZ username so you can keep them straight?
