Its so much fun, to me the people are great. But the best part of doing tables is when you score. You know, the trinkets. We do have a fun job. I consider myself a treasure hunter, I buy chunk and sell antiques.

Cash Cash no i'm kidding I really enjoy the challenge of the table and making it play better then before unless it was perfect in the first place. I cant sit behind a desk 6-10 hrs a day I like it when everyday or every so many hours i have a new project or table to work on.

I think it boils down to the finished product and the customer's smiles say alot to me when i'm done.

1. test or assemble of a table to always be the best.

2. smiles from the customers

3. trinkets collectables.

4. knowledge you pick up from customers.

5. Dont always do it for the money.

6. see how others did it before you. strive to be better.

7. a little for the money

I also love to tell the stories later of what happened, how it played out, "the art of the deal". so much fun. From Billionaires to guys who can just barely scrape up enough to get a table. Funny, the guys in between seem the happiest of all.

I pretty much love everything about the business

Satisfaction of the end product and the customers.

I love the game and being able to contribute something more than a chalked cue or useless railtard advice on a shot.

Problem solving

The traveling

Finding those great old tables in great shape, and the history behind it

Being able to get into a discussion like this one, and know that for once, nobody is going to throw rocks at you. (lol)

The reputation of NOT being a hack.

Seeing the excitement when the customer comes into the room and it's almost ready to play.....

The money is always a part of it, it's our job.....

I like taking business from hacks and listening to customers after job completion. Especially in pool rooms. lol (That shot would have rolled in there yesterday! Who leveled this table!!!!???! I can't play on it if it doesn't roll off! lol"

Constantly trying to find better ways to reinvent the wheel, improve overall knowledge, learn from others and offer what you've learned.
Help others to increase their quality, and finding little things that improve your business.

My favorite part of it though....(drumroll) the feedback that you get from happy customers, and getting a phone call from someone that you've been referred to.
When that stops, you need to reevaluate your business, cause nothing beats a happy customer.

Having the satisfaction of completion just about every day. There are people including my wife who work on projects they never see the finished result of or it takes a year to finish. Everyday we get to stand back and
look at our nice completed job and look at the happy faces!!!

Oh, and i do love the money!

did you get a chance to see that table in CO yet?

I didn't get to stop at Antiques last trip, but I think I'll be out there again in about two weeks.
Waiting on confirmation on some work in C-springs area..
If I remember right, that table is on the North side of the room by the back door, away from the others. I used to play on one of the tables about 20 feet from it when I went in there during the day.
I'll get you some pics when I get over there-
