Why do you play pool

I play because of all the hot chicks falling all over me , the gobs of money I win, to gain the respect and admiration from the general
community around me and the appreciation I get from my wife for all the hours I spend in pool rooms working hard on my game

I play because it gives me the chance to hang around with fellow lowlifes without having to get drunk, for a change. And the game gives me the opportunity to prove, night after night, that I can occasionally stagger thru a layout that a good player could run with his eyes closed.
