Why I stopped selling Simonis Cloth. How are you other Smaller Dealers thinking??

Why I stopped selling Simonis Cloth:

I am a small dealer, I dont buy it by the bolt because I do not have a cut table or space in my shop for one.
When things went south on Tournament Blue : I bought other colors, then they ran out of those and NONE FOR ME.

Them not keeping a small amount for dealers like myself: I lost faith and switched back to Championship Tour Edition 30/30.

I see smaller guys like me BEGGING for it on forums. Big retailers get every bolt coming in. I made the right move for my business.

Obviously the world changes as you stand in different places. However, when I wanted to purchase simonis as an end user through my tiny dealer. There was zero issues doing so. This was back just before the new year.

I remember reading about a flood some time ago disrupting production. Is that still effecting availability...?

I have not even tried anymore. Some people have it, mostly those who buy in bolts. I am comfortable with my decision.
I probably can buy it via other wholesalers, but I dont need to. I know how to properly install Champ Tour 30/30 and they have a comparable color: Champ Blue. Tour 30/30 is actually easier to stretch in the pockets. index is like 3 3/4" though. It is just more elastic because of the nylon content.

24oz Cloth!!

Its the principle and nothing more. No drama. Felice is one of the nicest people I have met in the business. I have no bad feelings.

Yes, it's tough to get quality tour blue from many manufacturers right now because of it. Most are back ordered. I've been told the looms they are producing the current Simonis 860HR on are not the same as the one affected by the flood, and I can tell you from experience that the cloth is not quite the same as it was, so that makes sense.

I'll agree with that! What is currently being produced is not the same as what was being produced pre-flood.

If installed correctly it is very fast and durable. IMO it is as good as any other worsted style cloth out there. CPBA, Andy, Predator, Simonis and Gorina all make high quality cloth. I dont get into 1 oz. differences. As far as I know Tour 30/30 is the only 24 oz. cloth, just like the logo below says.

I had championship years ago on my table, it's fast and durability was good. Our local bar just installed it on 4 tables, yep it's still fast LoL
The stretch index is wayyyy different. I like it though. It is MUCH easier to stretch into the pockets. I wish all manufacturers cut off the useless points on the slate in the corners and sides like Brunswick does now on their GC6. Makes the upholstery so much easier!

Tour Edition 30/30 Plays very fast and the quality is there!

Things are tough right now for so many. I been good with Tour 30/30, no quality issues as of yet. The Simonis stretches differently and has these weird "waves" in the finish, I had to install 12-cuts over the last week.

I am not selling any new tables at the moment. I have been focusing on selling my restoration tables. I filled up my inventory earlier this year with a bunch of GC3s to add to what I already had Anniversary & Centennial wise. More inventory than I have ever had. Profit margins are far better this way.

What are the "waves" that you referred to? I don't know that I've seen anything like that.

I will take a pic today, it looks like something in manufacturing that affects the weave. How I noticed it is that it is not consistent through out. see how close my phone camera will get. report back later.

has weird waviness to it. and its random. I dont know much about the manufacturing process, but, I can see it and wonder why. not a huge deal. I only install it now then the customer chooses. We are going with tour 3030 on the 9- 9' GC3's early Sept.
