Why no more white with green specks?

My local cuemaker recently told me that the old white with green specks Irish linen that is used in a lot of older cues is being discontinued. Anyone know why, or if it's true?

because it's fugly.

You can still find the old Courtland linen...but its expensive. There is white with green speck still being made, no problems...its just not the original Courtland.
