why not seperate dealers collectors from players

Wouldn't it be great if there was a cue sales directory........publish cue photos and sales prices.......create a fact based informational base........create some benchmark sales that can be used as a tool......we've all seen situations where we spot a cue that's been listed before and sold several times.......and then there are the rarer sales of cues that doesn't come along as often like Searing or Tibbits pool cues.......a database of recorded cue sales is really a good thing for the pool industry, collectors, enthusiasts or recreational players.........you need knowledge to become better at anything......what's the harm in spreading this knowledge around?
The publishing of cue sales helps establish a more reliable value for cues but this info seems to be tightly controlled or else limited to a select few......I don't attend cue shows but I do order cues and buy cues......how am I to learn about cues currently being sold at a cue show in Oregon or California or Pennsylvania....dealers may have a network that keeps them apprised but ordinary folks like myself do not.......I favor of seeing a cue-maker/cue sales section........review of cue-makers and sale prices of cues.......what'ya think? There's an old adage.........it certainly applies to what I am proposing........"That which you share shall multiply and that which you withhold shall diminish.".....share the knowledge is a much better approach.....IMO.
