Why sell if your life is too busy to ship within a reasonable amount of time?

When ever I sell a cue (or anything), and get paid for that item, I make it my very 1st priority to get the item shipped out ASAP (and for me, that is always within 24 hours of receiving payment, unless the next day is a Sunday).

I guess that shipping within a reasonable amount of time (after receiving payment) is based on opinion, but I think that more then 3 business days (after getting paid for the item, and not getting it shipped out to the buyer) is starting to get past a reasonable amount of time.

I purchased a shaft from an AZ member here on the 16th (payment for the shaft was sent on the 16th), and he told me that he needed to install a tip on the shaft, and that he would be installing the tip on the next day, and ship the shaft along with this other cue that I purchased from him.

Well, he shipped the cue 2 days later (on a Saturday), but he told me that he did not have time to install the tip on the shaft yet, and that he would surely have the shaft shipped by Monday or Tuesday.

So, I write him back on Tuesday (I think, to ask him if he had installed the tip and shipped the shaft), and he emailed back and told me that he has been too busy, and that he was sure that he would be able to install the tip and get it shipped on Friday.

Well, Friday has passed (and I sent him an email plus a PM) over the last few days, and he has not replied back to me yet.

I received the other cue (by the way, and it was nice and as advertised), but I am just getting really upset about this shaft that I think should have gotten shipped by now, and as far as I know, it has not been shipped yet (or he would have sent me a PM).

I am just upset, because I edited my WTB add (looking to by a shaft), saying that I found a shaft, but I am still without a shaft that I was really wanting to buy.

I can't even rely on a very well respected AZ member (with a very high itrader rating) to ship me an item within a reasonable amount of time.

I tried my best to be patient, but I am starting to get really angry now, because it seems that he is now ignoring my messages.

It is only a small amount of money that I paid for the shaft, but the amount of money (that was paid for the shaft) should not be reason enough to not get the shaft ready and shipped out as promised (and within a reasonable amount of time).

My point is just that people should not sell an item if it is not ready to ship out, and they should not sell if their life is too busy to get to the post office to ship the item out (within a reasonable amount of time after getting paid for the item).

?

How I mean how in hell do you keep ending up in situations like this?
Seriously it's time for you to leave the computers alone for awhile and
go get a job working 60 hours a week to keep you busy.

Just take a break from AZ for awhile everything and everyone will still be in a couple months.
I truly think this is the best thing for you, plus you'll have a nice little nest egg saved. I'm not being
rude or mean just honest.

I'm sure you will get it. He wanted you to have the cue so he shipped that out separately. Now he is going to have to eat another shipping charge so you get a shaft with a good tip on it. Just be patient. Some people don't answer emails or PM's on the weekend....especially if they have a family.

Okay, good point. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I know. I am just not a patient person. The thing is that I did not know that there was no tip on the shaft when I paid him for the shaft. Thought it was ready to go, lol.

How do you end up getting tied to so much drama with all your transactions? It's almost like it follows you around with every single deal. How unlucky of you!

There is no drama until I create it.

Seller should refund the money allowed for the shaft ....right now. When he is ready to ship the shaft
with the tip installed, he can call you and you can send payment. In the meantime, you can browse to
see if you can locate another shaft......if the seller is ready to ship before you find another shaft, buy it.

Justin, on an earlier thread I suggested that you lay low for a while, and although my
advice obviously means nothing  I haven't given up on you.
Technically you are a no-hoper, but my next suggestion is for you to pitch a tent at the
small claims court, and hope they have free wifi.
You could even file the claim in advance, because you know what the general issue is
going to be, reference: "I got porked again trying to make a cue deal"

Problem solved

Really dude?????

You get into more bad deals than anyone. You need to just hire somebody to buy cues for you. I doubt many on here would still consider doing a transaction with you without any insulation between them and you.

Maybe you should consider that you bring this on yourself because you do not understand the right questions to ask or deal with the wrong people. Either way, it is hard to except consequences for you own actions.

I offered a few nice cues to you recently that you would have had absolutely no issues with and you could have even checked them out in person before the purchase. I get that you many not have liked them or they were not what you were looking for, but my point is that you had that option.

I have also pointed you in the right direction for cue repair and purchase local to you. You complained that the prices were to high for the work being done. Maybe that extra cost is worth the insurance and piece of mind that the deal or work is solid.

If you sleep with dogs, you will wake up with fleas..........

Justin, are you on any other forums? Maybe something like bass fishing, shooting, mountain biking,or anything? If so,please list all the forums you are a member of,thank you...
