why was efren racking??

ok heres a dumb quest,i was watching the ipt tourny on oln sunday night and i was wondering why was efren racking his own balls to break??i thought the loser of the match racked.but an impresive win even though i think he planned it that way lol...

I was there and it appeared that the players would agree before the match to either rack-your-own or loser racks.

ok that makes sense ,did he run all his racks or did the other guy get a chance to shoot ?they only showed the last game on the tele .im wondering whos next this weekend?and i wish the had last year on dvd...
