Why wrap a cue?

It seems that many look at accuracy in a very narrow definition. IOW, the initial direction the cue ball travels. IMO, accuracy includes much more. There is accurate speed, accurate speed to spin ratio and angle of attack (how much initial energy was transferred down into the playing surface). If something gives better feedback, I can see how it could be more accurate.
