why

cant they make these spectacular pieces in sizes fit for a cue
holy hell these are nice

I have a piece of buckeye burl that is far nicer than this without the cheesy dye job that is big enough for 2 cues and maybe joint caps.

You just have to find it out there. The piece I got was from cabin salvage.

I know what you mean. I bought some that was really nice, but only a few inches long. The stuff was so nice that I cut it into rings to to put in between redwood burl sections in a handle. I really wished I would have had enough to make the handle out of it.

those in the pictures are around 5 inchs long but not even 1inch square

Here is a look at what I made into rings.

Sorry Guys....These are all gone.... I'm sure these are cues by now. Now these are not dyed... natural color. Stabilized clear.

But I might have a few more.

That stock looked much better stabilized clear, it had a lot of color already. I think maple burl turns out better double dyed than buckeye.

Thanks...Yeah 99% of my buckeye gets done in clear... I also try and get as many eyes as possible when my burls are cut. I would rather have the eyes than just a bunch of swirl or flame.
