Whyte Carbon Adapter Question Plz

Went to Seybert's with a Blevens, Bludworth, and a Schick.

The only adapter they could find that fit any of the 3 was one for the Schick (and it hits really really well.)

Had a conversation with someone at a hall who said they had access to a CNC machine and I wonder if anyone has heard of people making adapters for the butts mentioned?

Thinking maybe Les or Leonard had proprietary pins in their sticks and unless someone manufactures one, there just isn't enough interest for older cues.

Any thoughts please?

Donald Bludworth is still around, he could definately make the adapter.
I have everything I need for my local customers who have Bluds Cues.
The Les,
Have no idea. Not sure I've seen one.

Just looked up the adapters,
Definately different.

I think, correct me if I am wrong, Bludworth was an 3/8x11.5 ish.....I know that that tap will work...it will be a slight bit loose, but very close. He did have what I call a 'Bastard" thread for his pins

The easiest approach is to get a spare big pin insert, bore it out as much as you dare. Then thread a piece of phenolic whatever threads you need and after that turn it to fit the new I.D of the Triple 60 adapter and glue it very carefully in, making sure you don't get epoxy pooling in the end, so it locks up the screw.
I'll take a picture on my phone to illustrate what I'm talking about.

I believe this was a Leonard Bludworth, not sure if they used same pins.

Hi Michael. Can you expand on "looked up the adapters definitely different" please.

I just searched for the whyte adapters in google, thought they looked cool. I might buy one or 2 for special fits.
I'm undecided, i only have 1 local who uses that shaft.

I just wanted to update this post to mention Donald at Cues, Shafts and Such offers phenolic insert conversions (black or brown) for the Whyte Carbon adapters. He can also engrave the side of the adapter if needed. He can supply the adapter or you can send him yours (he refunds you $50 if you send your stock adapter to him later). His prices are fair and includes shipping. Please reach out to him if you're interested, there are a lot of positive reviews regarding this conversion, primarily a better feeling hit.

If you have an accurate setup and know what you are doing, you can fairly easy change the threads in the inserts. The O.D is basically 14mm on the dot, so I use a set-tru ER40 chuck, so I can dial that in within .002mm
Just did one now, so customers can use their Tiger cues with Triple 60 shafts.
