Whyte carbon shaft

I spoke yesterday to a nice guy named John at Whyte. He told me the pro taper on the 12.75 shaft was 14". I asked about turn-around time and he said they are filling orders in they order they receive them. I asked for a guess and he said at least 4-6 weeks. I think it may be longer. I was going to pull the trigger on it yesterday but when I went to checkout I couldn't use a credit card but had to make the purchase to something called "Google Pay." I chose not to do that. You younger guys probably know about that payment method but I'm old and do not. I'll wait a little while and see further feedback on these shafts.

Trying to post pics it's saying to large of file its a 11.90 mm it plays really nice very low deflection I did have the jacoby black shaft and I personally feel it plays better than that it's super smooth
Nice! thats the size I was thinking about going, that or 11.75. I wasn't a fan of the Jacoby black carbon shaft at all when I had tried one. I'm currently using a 11.8 revo and my custom modified 11.6 revo. I'm skeptical of veering away from them lol at $570.

Stick with the revo 11.8. I tried the whyte 11.75. It does not move the cue ball nearly as good as the revo. Felt soft and took a little effort to move the cue ball around. Revo all day and I don’t even play with or own a revo so it’s not like I am bias. The difference is that noticeable. I think its because whyte uses a 16” pro taper

Someday there will be a better shaft than the Revo. It will be called the Revo 2. It's quite obvious that Predator did their R&D very well and were able to follow through with manufacturing. Cynergy and Ignite come close. Between these 3 it will be a matter of personal choice on the hit/feel. If the country where it's made is important to you, then choose between the U.S., Japan or China. Carbon Fiber is a completely different material to wood. I feel that the smaller manufactures/individuals either don't have the resources to create a better shaft than the big boys, or are simply riding on the bandwagon of making a black shaft. This is from my experience alone, your's may be different.

Personally, I play with an Ignite shaft. I wanted a thinner shaft that played as stiff as a 13 mm maple shaft and good feedback. My previous playing cue was a ebony nose South West with their standard taper 13 mm shafts. Having the least amount of deflection was not my concern at all when I made the switch. Whatever LD properties I get is just a bonus.

Their booth at the expo could have shown a greater effort at quality, especially at their price point.

“Feels like wood, preforms like carbon.” Terrible
