i got greath news for those who are here and care. for others, just dont mind.
just got the latest newsletter and they are changing ALOT in our country for 2006, and i think its greath.!!!!!
for the pro's, (A ranking) They highered the entree fee from 20$ to 30$ and increased fee's for improper behaviour (dresscode, alcohol, etc)
for the amateurs (B ranking) They lowered the entree free from 15$ to 10$, and they increased max points . U dont play qualifications anymore for 1 B ranking final in 1 place in our country, but now we have 2 Branking events (no more last32 finals). One on each side of our country (reducing traveling distance). So there will be two #1's, two #2 's etc in the B ranking (in this way even beginners (D players in america) got a better chance of winning some points and a higher place in a Branking event, even if its not much, it just stimulates alot more then having 0 points. also the higher points will make it easyer for a non top32 Branking player to enter the top32. How it was now, the difference in points was so big, that u had to play at a top10 level, just to be able to enter A rankings.
Also they are planning to invest some $ into helping a club in Brussels (the capital of our country), so every player in brussel AT least will have a decent place to train. they even are thinking of my karaoke barr, but weird enough i advised NOT to do it, as the owners are just there for the $ and dont give a f*** about players. So finaly, a club in the capital (i know this sounds weird, that the biggest place in my country dont has a club that is member of the BPBF, but thats just how it is/was). We need 4 players to start interclubs too, and ill probably be one of them. im helping the organiser to do this as soon as possible, and as profesional as possible.
Also the minimum # tables has increased. min8 for straight, 6 for 8ball and 5 for 9 ball. This will reduce waiting times , (wich before could go up to 3 hours later then anounced) and we wont be playing till 5AM , but all matches should finish in a reasonable time.
guess all my spamming on the forum, and talking around helped. Still alot to change, but its a EXCELLENT start.
Thx to the once who adviced me to talk to the BIG guy's, and even if im new, and silly, i might make a difference, and it did. thx colling, terry, scott, etc
sorry guys, but i only got GREATH news latetly, ill try to make a
