i got greath news for those who are here and care. for others, just dont mind.

just got the latest newsletter and they are changing ALOT in our country for 2006, and i think its greath.!!!!!

for the pro's, (A ranking) They highered the entree fee from 20$ to 30$ and increased fee's for improper behaviour (dresscode, alcohol, etc)

for the amateurs (B ranking) They lowered the entree free from 15$ to 10$, and they increased max points . U dont play qualifications anymore for 1 B ranking final in 1 place in our country, but now we have 2 Branking events (no more last32 finals). One on each side of our country (reducing traveling distance). So there will be two #1's, two #2 's etc in the B ranking (in this way even beginners (D players in america) got a better chance of winning some points and a higher place in a Branking event, even if its not much, it just stimulates alot more then having 0 points. also the higher points will make it easyer for a non top32 Branking player to enter the top32. How it was now, the difference in points was so big, that u had to play at a top10 level, just to be able to enter A rankings.

Also they are planning to invest some $ into helping a club in Brussels (the capital of our country), so every player in brussel AT least will have a decent place to train. they even are thinking of my karaoke barr, but weird enough i advised NOT to do it, as the owners are just there for the $ and dont give a f*** about players. So finaly, a club in the capital (i know this sounds weird, that the biggest place in my country dont has a club that is member of the BPBF, but thats just how it is/was). We need 4 players to start interclubs too, and ill probably be one of them. im helping the organiser to do this as soon as possible, and as profesional as possible.

Also the minimum # tables has increased. min8 for straight, 6 for 8ball and 5 for 9 ball. This will reduce waiting times , (wich before could go up to 3 hours later then anounced) and we wont be playing till 5AM , but all matches should finish in a reasonable time.

guess all my spamming on the forum, and talking around helped. Still alot to change, but its a EXCELLENT start.

Thx to the once who adviced me to talk to the BIG guy's, and even if im new, and silly, i might make a difference, and it did. thx colling, terry, scott, etc

:D

sorry guys, but i only got GREATH news latetly, ill try to make a  post as soon as i can find something bad to post.

That's great (greath!) Solly,

One thing though, if I remember you said the officials made some you change clothes in a recent tournament. Better find out just what they mean/expect from the players as far as dress code and conduct.
How do these changes affect you as far as your current rankings?
Are Brussels sprouts really from Brussels? Sorry for all the questions.:D

How do these changes affect you as far as your current rankings?

A rankings; always dresscode B (no tshirt but club polo (but what if u dont got a club like me?), no jeans, leather shoes)
B ranking: (only finals dresscode B, but as there are no qualifying anymore for the finals, i supose ALL have to play in dresscode B? mmm need to check it out, the paper ive read isnt very clear, its just a small notice to players about changes for 2006 but noting is written in 'rule terms'. Would be weird a person who never played and just wanted to join for the fun , Has to be in a suite to play...)

current ranking doesnt affect anything. (what used to affect is how good u know the tournament official... last national championship a guy entered in boxershorts, and was alowed because he was the trainingpartner of the official, where as i had to change my pants and other things.) But is was VERY bad seen by all the players, and MANY have posted bad comments about it, so normally the rule should be VERY strickt now, with fines for not folowing dresscodes, etc up from 15$ to 75$!!!.

sprouts: no they dont :p just like french fries, arent invented by the french.

hope my answer is greath/great? ;)

Could you or you and some other "independent" players form a club? Maybe call it the Languid Lizard Club!;) You should be OK with a regular polo shirt and comfortable slacks.

Terry

i might get a club shirt, if this new league club in Brussel thing goes. ;)

we would need 4 players at least, and i know already 3 (4th is my trainingpartner, but she is tied up till this summer to another club.) Also the board has to check out all the options and see if all the minimum req's are there or can be made possible there.

interesting year to come :)

ow btw; gf is having 2 new lizard tatoo, and im customising my case (if i ever get it) with lizards too. Saw some cool alu pin brushes with lisards i could pin on the case

was it u who was going to offer the mcdermoth gecko cue to your gf? if it was, let me know what she tought off it.

Im prolly gonna get me one too, but still not sure where, and what .. Cant find the PERFECT lizard/gecko design. trying to design one myself now.
