Tulip wood sneaky from Will Adcock, Evansville Indiana.
Full splice butt - 14.8 oz.
shaft 1 - 4.1 oz. 13mm
Will's special laminated shaft - 3.8 oz. 12.5 mm
I have a few sneakys as they are my favorite cue. I saw this one in the for sale section and immediately contacted Will. It was a pretty fair price with shipping included.
First off I will say that Will's customer service is second to none.
I had removed a credit card from Pay Pal and they started sending EChecks to people instead of direct deposit. I told Will and he just said, no problem, send me a money order. The bank Will deals with obviously didn't have experience with Canadian Postal money orders and that held the shipping date back for a couple of days. Will felt responsible for that, which I didn't think he should be. So he called me one evening and told me he was making me an extra shaft and joint protectors because of this. It was a very nice gesture on his part and I wasn't going to refuse.
The cue was constructed from, I believe, a full splice Prather blank. Matching ring work is black phenolic and what looks like amber. I've never seen anything like it before. The finish on the sneaky is a nice glass finish.
The second shaft from Will is a laminated blank, cored, with a fibre pad and tip on the tip of the shaft, no ferrule.
The lam shaft has a very drastic taper like my Meucci.
My main player is a Meucci PP1 so I was excited about trying his lam shaft.
I got the cue last Friday and shot quite a few games with it that night. I had zero problems adjusting to the small tip and taper. I have a 314 and Meucci shaft and they have absolutely nothing over Will's lam shaft.
No cue ball deflection whatsoever.
The sneaky is very nicely balanced and you'd never know you have a close to 19 oz cue in your hands.
The balls drop effortlessly.
I was shooting in a small tournament Saturday and I had so much confidence in this cue that I left my Meucci at home and took Will's sneaky with me. I did lose my first round in the A side but at no fault of the sneaky thats for sure. After the tourney, I let a quite a few players try out the sneaky as it did generate quite a bit of interest.
They were firing balls in left and right and everyone who tried it was greatly impressed. You can get alot of cheese on the q ball with this shaft.

Anyone else looking for a great player for a reasonable price, that you can take out to league night or the bar, I strongly suggest trying an Adcock cue.
One thing for sure is guaranteed, I will be owning more than one of Will's custom cues in the future.
Terry.
