Will Snooker Become Like American Pool?

It's a possibility. The big tobacco companies were really the biggest sponsor they had. And it made sense for them too since before majority of pool enthusiast/players were smokers. The only companies I could think of that would make sense sponsoring snooker/pool would be a brewing company.
 
It could in my opinion. Its better t.v. than nascar, golf and pool. Will it???? I doubt it. It would take some imagination and some risk taking to make it a reality and that is in short supply these days.:shakehead:

Two sponsors pulling out of the game is not the end of the world, it is a blow for this season but World Snooker has enough funding in place to underwrite these two tournaments.

What we need to look at is the future and moving the game forward, Bahrain is a massive positive and a fully funded tournament is a major bonus.

The sport is not only growing in China but Thailand, Belgium, Germany, the UAE and India are also seeing massive growth in the sport.

It is about time World Snooker made it a truly International sport and stopped relying on snookers popularity in the UK - I think it would be great to see ranking events in some of these other territories.

The other plus is that snooker is far better organized than pool.
