Willie Hoppe Cue Repair

I recently purchased a Willie Hoppe cue that needs a ferrel and tip. Its not a real expensive cue but i wanted to use the correct material for the ferrel. Should it be ivory ? Does it effect the value at all?

Thanks, Kevin

Ivory was an option as a ferrule material, but was not pervasive. IMO, your choice of material will not substantially affect the value of the cue, as long as you choose something fairly typical. And lastly, if you search e-Bay, you can probably find some original Brunswick ferrules for sale if you really want them. IMO, ivory is a safe choice.

Kevin,

There were several different cues and manufactures that had Willie Hoppe's name on them. It would perhaps be very helpful if you could post a photo of the cue.
