Willie Hoppe Cue

I have a 2 piece Brunswick Willie Hoppe cue that my Father gave me for my 16th birthday back in 1964. I've used it very sparingly over the years and it would be in pretty good shape today if it wasn't for a house fire we had in 2006. I had the cue in it's case in a closet when the fire happened. The cue didn't receive any damage from the heat or fire, but some water leaked into the case where the zipper is. The joint was at this area of the case and received some water damage as a result. The cue is stained around the joint on both the shaft and the handle part of the cue. Also, the brass joint was cocked slightly leaving about a 1/4" warp in the cue when it is rolled flat. The shaft itself still rolls straight. I guess my question is, can something like this be repaired and is there anyone out there that knows how to do this? If anyone knows of a good cue repair in the Ocala, The Villiages or Orlando, Florida area please let me know. The shaft is 12mm, a new layered tip and I epoxied a rubber bumper on the butt end back in the day I also have the original case with the original Brunswick name tag.
I don't suppose anyone is interested in buying this cue, but I'd be open to any offers.
Thanks,
George

This guy is a real joker - He gives me a price for the cue and I tell him I'll take it. Then he tells me he sold it. What Kind of shit is that?

same here.... I was pretty pissed as I asked him to hold it for me for a night while I was asking cuemakers around how much would be to convert

That's some shit..

I had that happen to me a few times. And all I can say is kick them off the site. If we cants do that flag the hell out of them. Just my 2 cents.

I'd say he may deserve a little slack, but it's not likely that you'll hear from him again anyhow. Joined in July 2013 and that was his first post.
