I just won a Willie Hoppe cue on ebay. I actually thought it would go for more than it did. I already have 3 Willie Hoppe cues. One is my original cue that i have had for about 40 years. Anyway, back to my original question. Which way would it have more value. Refinish it, leave it alone or have a conversion done? Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated. If i was to have it refinished i would ask Mike Webb to do it..........mike

I asked this question on here when I came across a nice Willie Hoppe. The basic feeling was that if the cue was in good, straight condition with the signature and logo intact, leave it alone as most folks seemed to think they would appreciate more that way. Thinking was the same reference the refinishing...if it is decent shape without damage, leave it alone as most feel an all original cue will have more long term value.

Mine was very straight and playable with the logo gone and a very light signature, so I decided to have it converted by one of our own AZBers, Joe Callaluca. I can't wait to get it back. Good luck with your decision, either way. Joe
