Any opinions? Up here working for 3 days, have a car...this is close but I'd drive a bit if going into NYC or south is worth it.

I'd call them ahead of time. My understanding is, they're in the process of closing, if they haven't closed already.

I've always had a fondness for Willow but it had everything to do with the people and not really the location or equipment. It's a small room with about 12 Gold Crown IIIs in poor shape. With that said, in recent years they had a very loyal and fun group and some of them play pretty sporty. The owner is also a very nice guy.

If you wanted to stay in Jersey, I'd probably recommend Sand Castle Billiards. I've never been there but it appears to be where most of the action is. The other is Castle Billiards.

I was under the impression that Willow is closed?

Anywho, there isn't much in the Hoboken, JC area. There is Hi Tech, in Weehauken, but if you have a car, it would be worth the drive elsewhere.

I like Castle and Sandcastle too. Castle is about 10 minutes from Willow, behind Giants Stadium. Sandcastle is near exit 10 NJ Turnpike, about 20 minutes away. Sandcastle has more action and has the Accustats game show, on Wed. nites

Willow is closed. Castle is a short drive, on Rt 17 right off Rt 3. Good room, real good food, full bar. If you're looking for action, I can find you action of all sizes and shapes.

Sorry to hear about yet another room closing. I think I may make the drive down to Sand Castle as I should have 4-5 hours to play tonight. I'd welcome a friendly game or two of 14.1 for small change if you are interested...
