That's fantastic news!!!! Sharkey's was horrible. Last time I was home a friend of mine was talking about taking a 2 pound hammer to the center of each table. How is the scene there now? There was a pretty rough crowd in there at times.

I heard they move the tables on a weekly basis for floor space (what I am not sure)

One of our Katrina refugees mentioned the same thing.

Do the Arizona weekly and monthly tournaments all add money?

I have noticed another thing with some pool halls having NO ENTRY FEE tournaments around the country. Do you all have NEF tournaments?
JoeyA

Most of them add money. Usually they pay out 150% or 200%. Usually the tourneys have a $5 entry and the bar matches that dollar for dollar. And then there are sidepots for the players inwhich the bar doesn't add any money.

Not sure what NEF tournaments are???

Sharkey's use to move the tables and lean them up against the wall. Then they would put a net over them and play dodgeball inside the bar. Yep! And I wonder why they didn't last.

The Master Z's Cue Club is completely remodeled and has brand new tables. The owners have definitely done a great job on changing the image.

There was a little action in there as well, and I think it will pick up after the summer.

please tell me who? I've been to romines plenty of times and the only one is tommy. never been to lenny's, I was told not a safe place, but if the action is right I'll do my best to get there. but I am very curious to know who these people are.

I don't know u cheesehead..........

But he (Tommy) is welcome to come and play Greg Manske and/or Willie Munsen anytime. In fact I think Greg asked him to play some at the last bar box tourney and he had NOTHING to say. There are also a few specialists there he is not going to beat. As for safety, I go there all the time. I would say it is a lot safer than the south side of chicago. Come on down, I'm sure we can find something for you, Scott

Milwaukee match-ups...

Back when I still lived in the Milwaukee area, not too many people would try to play Willie Munson. Only regular action I used to see him get was when Scott Kitto, from Iowa would come to play. It's pretty tough to beat a former world champ, even if they are getting older. Too much knowledge has been accumulated, by the time everyone else learns what they know, you're broke!
Greg Manske is a name I haven't heard in ages, guess he didn't stop playing.

If anyone from milwaukee would like to play I'm all for it, my schedule is a little difficult but if I know in advance I'll do my best to get up there. The next time you see willie tell him I say hello! my # is 847-226-4281 please set something up and give me a call. Thanks Tom McCluskey

I live in Greendale myself. It's a suburb of Milwaukee. I'm going to try to start a new type of "league" in SE Wisconsin. I started a myspace page but all I'm getting are pros emailing me and working with me to find good pool halls. I'll post about the new type of league in a new forum, but if you come down to Milwaukee and want to play some games, PM me.

Master Z's

What are the prices to just go and play a few rounds at the new Master Z's? Is it worth it? Sounds like it might be a great place for a bunch of AZB Wisconsin people to meet up for some games to me.

I think it was $8/hour on most days. And on Tuesday's they had something like $2 Tuesdays. I can't remember exactly and there new website should be up and running soon.

There was free table time during tournament play. They have been getting a pretty good turnout for there Thursday tournaments. It's $20, single elimination, but the handicaps are a little out of hand. Master's race to 8 or 9, AA - 7, A - 5 or 6, anyone else to 4. I think?!?
