With all these "Focus Pills" posts, I wonder...

What on Earth is Dave Pearson on???? He's certainly not on anything that calms him down. If you were to turn these pills in to street drugs...

Pot = Focus Factor
Crack = Dave Pearsons preferred focus factor?

Seriously, how does a person get so good at shooting pool that he can run a table in 26.5 seconds? Why do we not mention this man more? Would his abilities not be a goal we should all strive for?

He hasnt won the Speed Pool yet (4 entrants) has he?

I am very much doubting his 26.5 seconds. I will give him 10-1 and all night to come within 3 seconds of that!!

I wouldn't believe it either if it wasn't for the Guinness Book of Records. They're very thorough. I also found this (from his website)

"I guess this wasn't enough for Dave and Guinness, they now set the ultimate challenge, running 10 racks of 15 balls on 2 pool tables 6 ft apart in under 10 minutes. Well he did not let the 5 million viewers down he ran 10 racks in 9 minutes 46.3 seconds!"

I have a friend that likes Dave's antics, as long he takes 2nd to my friend again, and again.....

Just teasin'. I've tried it before, and anything under a minute is really good, and in under half a minute is SUPER FAST. I can't do it, so I won't knock the guy.

Im a real cynic and a doubter- I dont really see where it says that the 26.5 seconds is a Guinness world record. If you show it to me, i probably still wont believe it. He would have to break and every shot would have to be a stop shot and that means they would be mostly into different pockets meaning he has to run around the table a lot. Cant see it.

I dont think i ever saw less than 50 seconds in a Speed Pool tournament.

I've never seen Bobby (McGrath) do it in less than 30 sec., but I have witnessed him do it in less than 40 sec. in practice. I don't know his fastest time (I'll ask him next time I see him), but I personally saw a 38 sec. run. I know most on this forum don't find SPEED POOL impressive, but seeing the table and even a starting or full pattern that freaking fast is unreal. Stop shots with 1/4 tips worth of english while you are pretty much still in motion is SICK too. I'd be thinking about my first ball and he'd already have 4 - 5 balls down.

Salvas IS unreal. I'm sure he's has crazy low times too (just didn't happen on TV). He is more than capable of beating anyone. I'm sure he's done a rack at least in the 40's....
