Finnish pool player here, sadly didn't have the chance to go watch this live. Will be rooting for all of our countrymen :D

Fargo-wise the best ones around the 770-790 range are (in no particular order) Mika Immonen, Jani Uski, Casper Matikainen, Petri Makkonen and Kim Laaksonen, out of which only Kim isn't in this event. After those, the next best ones around 730-750 are Jere Virtaranta and Jani Siekkinen. Then a large bunch of 680-730s.

Due of the sheer number of Finns in the event (~60% of participants), surely some of those 680-730s will make it to the 32cup, and maybe even 16cup if matched against eachother, but there's pretty much just those five 770-790's who have a realistic chance of finishing deep.

Free Live Streams on about 10 tables. ALL matches are streamed.
Pretty impressive for small ranking event like this. If only Matchroom would also stream all matches on all tables on their major events (instead of just 2 to 3 tables)

There is also 15 yo Riku, the youngest ever to reach last 16 of Matchroom major (UK Open)

Riku is now 18.. Time flies. He won last week 14.1 and 8-ball European championships U19. Came 5th 9-ball and 10-ball.
Are you sure he's not 16 or so? I looked around for his birthday and couldn't find it, but working from articles he's not 18 yet.

Yes. I checked and he is still 16. Turns 17 in November. I don't know why he did not play U17 events too then in European Championships..

because the cut off is December 31. So anyone turning 17 this year can't play in that division.

Considering that ~60% of the participants are finnish, not a single one of them qualified to the 32-cup from the winners side. Not too promising
:D

My hopes were 4 Finnish players would get in Last 16. Uski, Makkonen, Casper and Riku. I thought probably 3 would get in. Riku did also put Uski out..
I also predicted 4 finns in top16. Now just hope Riku wins the whole thing, would be a great boost for his career.
