The cueman, Chris H. told me early on that adding wood was harder than removing it.
I was cruising along in my shop the other night and had gotton to the point in constructing a cue where I was preparing to cut a groove for in the handle for a wrap. Lost my attention for a moment and when I turned on the router I found that I had screwed up big time. The router began cutting a grooved like you never saw. I haven't sworn that much since I stuck my thumb in a moving router early in my career.
After I settled down I went to Lowes looking for a wood filler and found a product that ended up impressing me so much that I thought I would share it with you.
It's called Minwax Professional wood filler. It's a two part system like an epoxy that when mixed and applied, dries in 30 minutes to where you can sand or file or rout to finish size. This stuff is awesome. Cost's about $12.00 and is great to work with. I give it an A+
