Can anyone venture a guess as to what wood this butt is made out of please?

Looks like "house cue wood" to me.... lol couldn't resist! In all seriousness they used a wide variety of hardwoods making the various brands of house cues. A lot of them are about undistinguishable because of similarities of the strains. I'd put this in that category.
