A 2 inch square blank 30 inches long of dylamux goes for about 60 bucksIf you find any reasonably priced let me know. Someone quoted me $150 or so for an old Schon set. I used to get them for 30-40 for a three piece set a few years ago.
Where do you see them? If I knew how to get them, I would get those.seeing many wooden (rosewood, acacia, maple, etc.) 5/16-18 online. what didn't you like about those?
I believe the old school looking ones are made by Mr. Joe Picone. If someone just made copies of the Schon styling of the 90’s, they could probably make a few bucks w little effort. Always thought they were classy and looked nice and clean. The ones above just look “clunky” for lack of a better term to describe them. Not appealing at all imho.
Thanks, for the recommendation. It looks like his are Delrin I’m partial to what I think were made out of “dymondwood”. Everything has already been discussed here, lol. New content is hard to come by!I believe the old school looking ones are made by Mr. Joe Picone.

Someone showed a set of his on here that were ebony not to long ago and I believe for a Schon Cue.That was very considerate. I did check out his site. Thanks Michael. Shooter08
I will look into it. I’ve had one set of protectors built and was not happy with them. The builder got the rings in the wrong order of colors and they were not flush with the butt or shafts. Unfortunately, turned me off to ordering more. Went back to the Schon ones, I heard they were made by someone at Billiards and Bagels, but that could have just been a rumor. Did they come standard w Schon Cues in the mid 90’s, First Schon I ever saw in person the day it was purchased had them and I was sold. Can’t remember the model, but Bob retired shortly there after, from Schon.Someone showed a set of his on here that were ebony not to long ago and I believe for a Schon Cue.
Don't hurt to ask.
