Wooden Pool Table Covers?

You guys don't miss anything!

Yes Doug, usually it's fully assembled for morning warm-ups, but wife thought it was a bit out of place, so I tucked it away for the party. Shocked you picked it out, although you would know what it looks like :)

Glad to here you are still getting use of it. I use mine often as well

Christmas gift?

These might make a good gift for Christmas. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can put you in touch with the builder. He lives in Dallas, but will consider shipping anywhere in the U.S.-Ryan

Sorry if I missed this while skimming the thread, but as beautiful as these tops are, I can't imagine that they can be cost effective once shipping prices are figured in.

Costly!

Wow, those are expensive. I think he would have them shipped vial rail. Home gyms are shipped this way and it's a couple hundred to do so. An independent shipper, like on Shipping Wars, might even charge much less. I can't tell you the pricing, since it depends upon the woods, but I would guess the table tops would run between $350-750, depending upon wood and finish. Even a plain table top with a cloth cover would look nice.

My wife is having me put our cover on the table for Thanksgiving, Christmukah, and New Years. It really makes her happy that the pool table can serve her purposes as well :)

Looks good !!!

What is the height in relation to normal dining chairs or counter hight chairs ? Seems like a it would be a little high for a normal chair and little short for a counter chair.

I bought 14 cheap office chairs for my poolroom so the heigth can be adjusted for this use. I narmally just leave them at the highest adjustment level and place them around the room for seating and viewing.

The ends of that table in the photo can be longer and rounded and stick out just a little bit more to add some more seating and to make it look better, imho. But someone sitting on that end can be a problem if there is no additional bracing.

Agree, and we ended up initially allowing the top to extend past the table by 14 inches, but this proved too long. As it is it extends 7in past and that distance seems perfect. I like the office chair idea, an adjustable seat is useful for taller and shorter folks.

And if a chair is interfering with a shot, a quick kick of the foot easily moves it out of the way. I also put wheels on my couch and tv stand, etc. for the same reason.

I'm into building my table top (well, I've been thinking about it for a few years:thumbup:) and appreciate the 7 inch factor...thanks.
