I recently stopped by Jillian's in Worcester on a Tuesday evening to visit with my old league team but the room was closed and stripped. Did the league move to another room in the area? Mitch

They moved to where London Billiards was, also in Worcester. 70 James St. I don't know if they are opened again or still working on it.

From what I heard tables will still be crap, they were going to do half black and half red tables or something.

If you are talking about the in-house league I don't know where all those players are, a few are playing on Wed nights in the tournament at The Green Room and from what I heard go there a few times to play.

Thanks Lazar. I've moved to CT and now play in Southington at Sal Conti's place....Shooters. There are at least18 GC IIIs (maybe more) in good shape although the cloth could be redone. Tuesday mornings has an over 55 BCA rules league. Play for 3 or four hours for $6.50 and win $5 back for a team win. Four teams picked by computer historical averages so no team is loaded. Good guys that play for a good time
with no drama. Mitch

I like the Green room. Great pizza and Rick is a great host along with Rico his manager.

CT has quite a few good rooms, Yale, Pool Table Magic, A1 which is the place Jayson Shaw's family owns, World Championship which is Larry Liscotti's room. Been to all of those, except Shooters LOL

Pizza is amazing there, I have to say better than the tables by a fair bit LOL I think I go to that place for the people and food, second for the table quality. And it's 30 minutes closer than anything else I play in. If anyone is in central MA or northern RI it's worth a visit for sure, I have not had a bad meal there, nor a bad experience with the staff or players.

This is why my cue has been screwed together 3 times in the past 6 months. I started to play in that Tuesday night league and one of the guys ended up getting barred from the place and the team disbanded. Then I found a BACPL? league in Hudson but it was all crappy bar boxes and they implemented the Fargo ratings and my team was so out of whack that we couldn't compete.
My last ditch effort to play in this area will probably be Thursday nights in Ayer. Bit of a drive but a nice place and seems like there are a lot of good players. If that doesn't work then I guess my cues will sit in the closet for a long time.

If you were playing in Worcester Jillians, The Green Room is not too far (20 minutes South) and has TAP and APA leagues, as well as a tournament on Wed. Wed nights is usually not too many people, we were as low as 4 at times, up to about 8. I don't think we ever gotten to 10.

Ayer Tuesday tournaments is pretty good, last few months we had 14-22 people for that tournament with a good mix of B and C players, with an occasional A popping in. Ayer is closed this Tuesday though for the 4th.

Hudson is actually almost in the center of Ayer, Worcester and Malden. I think Amazin in Malden has a league also, and I know they have tournaments almost weekly. From what I saw, those were pretty fairly handicapped, with only a few being under-rated.

Yeah, I have played at the Green Room back when the Rack em up tour running. Nice place and you're right, not too far. I checked with Roy and I guess on Thursday there is a 8-Ball / 10-Ball combo league that sounds good in Ayer.

Freddie, I was playing out Finnegans. We were the only Hudson team. Mostly Maynard teams.

Only 20 min for me. It's part of my run. Good conversations and I don't have to yell above the music to talk.

Then I might have to give it serious consideration. I can get my Webb re-tipped on occasion ;)

Just a phone call away my friend. All of the rooms have been very good to me and I'd be lost without them and you.
And an especially big Thank you to Steve and Regina at Snookers who have supported me since day one. 26 years ago.

Do you go on league nights? What nights do they play APA? I might have to go down and see if they will take a walk on. Brumbaugh is looking around too but not sure anyone would want one killer 7(James) and 1 7 that can't make 3 fookin balls in a row(me)...lol

I don't know Dave. All of the clubs know I pick up and deliver 6 nights a week. They call, I go. The customers tell me when they want it back. I make it happen.
