Anyone know how the money is broken down? I think I heard somewhere u got close to 1500 for qualifying but I'm not sure so any info would be awesome
1 - $40,000
2 - $20,000
3rd ~ 4th - $8,000
5th ~ 8th - $5,000
9th ~ 16th - $3,000
17th ~ 32nd - $2,000
33rd ~ 64th - $1,000
65th ~ 96th - $500
How is 65th 96th determined if the group stage has 128? Does that mean the top 2 out of 4 that don't qualify get paid?
Qatar has a lot more added money than US OpenHmmmm, let's see. US Open, OVER $200,000 prize $. $50,000 1st place, pays 48 places 48th being $2000 & it's classified as a Tier 2 event.
WORLD 9 Ball, supposedly the pinnacle event, less overall prize money, only $40,000 to the winner & 48th pays 1/2 of what the Open does. What's wrong with this picture?

Last year, 128 players competed, many from around the world. Because of a long waiting list, the field has been increased to 160 players. The $75,000 in added money qualifies it as a “Tier 2” event sanctioned by the WPA. Over $200,000 in prize money is at stake with $50,000 going to the winner while paying down to 48th place which will pay $2,000.
