woooooooohooooooooooooo
im so happy. today there was a qualification tournament, for 3 tickets who would give 3 europeans the chance to play later this year in march in Dubai the world 8ball championships.
the qualification took place in Weert in Holland.
players like Otterman, Schmidt, Jasmin Ouschan, Beekers, Dremzisis, Moussatti, Felder, Boyes, McLaughlin,.... where present.
And ofcourse our little guy from belgium, Serge Das.
Well he finished in 3th place!!!!!! he lost 7-8 in the semi finals from Karl Boyes. the other semi final was won By bekker, in a match against Dremzisis.
This means, there will be a belgium guy in dubay !!!
GREATH news for our small upcoming country, and now every player will have to donate to help pay for the expenses of the trip !! and im sure many will do.
I want to gratulate Serge Das for his place in the worldchampionship, and wish him the VERY best of luck.
(ps and i hope he will be one of the couples playing the double 8ball invitational event in the Open weert at the end of this month together with Mario Lanoye (who kicked out ronnie o sulivan last year in the same invitational event)) *wink wink Maurice HOB*
we might be meaningless in the international poolscene, but i can asure you , that the quality of our players isnt
these stories make me dream that everything is possible, even in a country like Belgium.
