World Cup of Pool odds...

Upsets often happen in the first round of events and this one will be no different, especially given the playing format and match races. It's probable that at least one of the very poorly fancied teams will win their match. Picking which one is quite another matter:)

Can't bet all underdogs but for a sporting bet try backing Scotland (8/1),
Qatar (9/1) and Malta (11/2) for equal stakes on each.

If any one of them wins you're guaranteed at least double your total stake back and possibly more than triple. If more than one win you are laughing to the bank:)

That's exactly my point of view.

Imagine I have Scotland @14 at my local bookie :) Pure value, even if Efren&Django are strong favorites here. I was considering taking Qatar but looked at last year's result of first round:
Malaysia (Ibrahim Bin Amin and Patrick Ooi) 9-3 Qatar (Bashar Hussain and Fahad Mohammadi)
So I think Immonen+Juva are too much for Qatar.
Malta? Well, I've seen Alex Borg playing pool. If he was Drago's clone they would have had chances. But he is not, so I wouldn't touch them even against team weaker than USA with Corey. No bet here.

Bad result for Russia Vahmurkha, even though the betting odds don't really reflect it that's a bit of an upset result to lose to Croatia:(
