Does anyone know when Matchroom Sports will begin selling spectator tickets for the World Cup of Pool in Manila, and if they will sell them online?

I keep checking their website, and it always says "coming soon." They have no e-mail address that I can find.

I have attempted to show up for a billiard event in Manila before, and they will always be sold out. I would appreciate anyone that can tell me how to reserve a ticket for the last day of play (Sunday 12 September). That's the only day I can get there, and I would love to get a good seat or two.

Thanks.

From what I heard, it is only available on the day and onsite only.

I am asking a favor from a friend to buy me tickets, I can include yours.

I sent them an email about two weeks ago and they said that they would have the link up and running to buy tickets.

Haven't checked their site again. I will send them another email.

No one will have any problem buying tickets and getting a good seat at the venue in Robinson's Galleria Mall. There is always available seating for the events in Manila at very reasonable prices. It can get a bit crowded around the TV table later in the day (just like at the U.S. Open). But if you come early, you won't have any problem sitting where you want for any match. You can walk up and buy a good seat on any day! If it's like every other event I've been to in the Philippines, there is lots of good seating, usually chairs on risers. Comfortable and close!

Thanks Jay.

I am sure that you are right, but my last experience was a two hour bus ride to the Casino Filipino in Paranaque to watch Jeanette Lee play Efren in an exhibition. This was sure to be an entertaining match, as they both have such pleasant personalities when they play.

My friend and I travelled a long way to be told, "Sorry sir, there are no tickets. Sold out." They would not even let me in the lobby. I had plenty of cash at the time, but no offers for a ticket. This was despite the fact that I had called the venue ahead of time to buy tickets and was told that this was not necessary. "There will be plenty of seats," the manager told me.

I have been to Robinson's Place before, and it is much bigger than the Casino Filipino, so I do feel much better with your comment. I know you have been there for the big events, and I appreciate your input very much.
I hate to say it, but I am kinda hoping the local team doesn't do so well, as the place will be packed if they do.

How about a USA Germany final? Sounds good to me....

Regards.

I think you won't have a problem watching because it is in a mall. the casino filipino is an enclosed venue and can only hold up to a limited people.in the mall, hundreds can watch from a 2nd,3rd and 4th floor just like in the women's world ten ball in sm north edsa.

The venue won't be at Robinson's Galleria. It will be held at Robinson's Midtown Mall in Ermita, Manila.

Jay, last year was a nitemare, but fortunately enough, I bought tickets well in advance. They are pretty cheap anyways. If I'm not mistaken, about $3.

All with VIP/Player/Whatever Pass where told to standup and vacate their seats. A few friends had to standup. So this year, I will again buy the tickets even when I have a VIP Pass. It's like buying insurance.

This does't make sense to me. Wouldn't those with a VIP pass have preference over a daily ticket holder??

Thanks,

Russ....

edited to add: I will just buy both so I am covered like you say!!!!

Thanks, I knew where it was in the Robinson's Mall in Ermita. I just got confused on the name. It is in the new Midtown wing of this mall.

VIP passes and Player passes are freebies given to players, their guests and the media. Sounds like they had to give up their seats for the paying customers. Just BUY a pass and you won't have any problems.
