In a magnificent manner, Dick Jaspers ran away with the Gold Medal in the 2022 World Games. In his four games, he compiled 160 points in 64 innings. That is a mind-numbing average of 2.500.
The final game pitted him against Jose Juan Garcia of Colombia. Garcia ran seven in his first inning to lead 7-0. However, after running 6-9-8 in innings four through six, DJ had a 29-12 lead. A subsequent 7 by Jaspers dashed any hope of a comeback by Garcia and the game ended in inning 13, with a final score of 40-18.
Thanks to Frits Bakker of Kozoom, whose great article in Kozoom News, provided the details in the previous paragraph.
