I posted this in another thread but thought it could be the object of a new one.

The world Games will take place next month in Taipei, perhaps it is a first step to the introuction of cue sports in Olympics.

Concerning cue sports, the disciplines will be 9 ball, Snooker and 3 cushion

I don't know how many years cue sports have been in the World Games, but I do know that the World Games have been around since 1981. Hopefully, pool (as well as snooker and carom) will make it to the Olympics soon (not holding my breathe though).

World Games 2005 !

As far as I know, Cue sports are on the World Games programme for some years.

We have provided a carom table during last event in Duisburg Germany in 2005.

It was nice to see that all disciplines were played in the same tournament venue. Ideal for speactators, you could see all nice matches at the same time ... great promotion for cue sports !
