I don't know how many people view this as a legitimate major tournament, but I think its fun nonetheless. Besides its the only tournament I get to see start to finish for free each year.

Anyways here is the first round draw

Round 1 - Rodney Morris (USA) v Niels Feijen (Ned)
Round 1 - Nick van den Berg (Ned) v Vilmos Foldes (Hun)

20.15 World Pool Trickshots -
Bogdan Wolkowski (Poland)
Alex Pagulayan (Philippines)
Vincent Facquet (France)
Stefan Pelinga (Italy)
Rob Mollien (Holland)
Alex Lely (Holland)
Lukasz Szywala (Poland)

Round 1 - Ronnie O’Sullivan (Eng) v Wu Chia-ching (Tpe)

I'm dissapointed that Steve Davis isn't doing trickshots this year. He certainly isn't the best trick shot artist, but he is a lot of fun. I doubt Steve will get to the next round this year, Alex is just too tough a draw. Nevertheless Pagualyan did go down to Tony Drago a couple of years ago and the race to 8 format means that anybody can win at any time.

The other interesting matchup is Ronnie vs Wu. I can't call this one, but if I had to make a choice I would pick Ronnie O'Sullivan just because he's one of my favs.

I watch the world pool masters every year Cameron, I like the production quality compared to other tournaments we see (occasionally) on TV up here. It gives us a good chance to see some of the better unknown European players show their skills, the format isn't very good with races to eight but other than that it aint too bad. Hopefully they will have tightened the pockets up a bit from the previous year, like they did for the WPC.
