The World of Billiards.....

I played Snooker today with my pool cue on a 12 foot table for the very first time. I have a whole new appreciation for the game. It was nothing like I could even imagine how difficult it was to make even a "routine" shot.

Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

I came to find that it's okay knocking in 90 + breaks on a 6 X 3 Snooker table as a kid but but it's a whole new ball game on a full size snooker table , I even tried my 6 X 3 snooker table cue but it was the same story so I bought a new cue and it was just like learning how to play all over again on the full size snooker table's .

If there's a decent snooker cue in that hall with a weight and cue tip that suit's give it a try . You won't turn into a Pro overnight but you might start stringing up a break or two pretty soon !:thumbup:

Joe Perry beats Jimmy White in World Snooker Championship qualifying :

Joe Perry denies Jimmy White in World Championship Qualifiers as Tian Pengfei edges out Yan Bingtao :

http://www.livesnooker.com/category...lifiers-2018-day-five-round-up-20180416-0001/

Jimmy White bows out losing Joe Perry Mark Davis by 10-6 but not a shock result going by 'Da Bookie odds and Graeme Dott V Akani Songsermsawad Greame hacked up to win 10-2 . .Michael Georgiou V Mark Davis chalked up as a close match with 'Da Bookie' was a non event as Mark Davis won 10-0 .

A big shock result to me was Yan 'Mr Spats' Bingtao 9 V 10 Tian Pengfei and so out goes Yan who I think has a great snooker game and brain but has a lot to learn still but he will be back no doubt .:grin:

Time to see if 'Da Bookie' chalked it up correctly .

http://livescores.worldsnookerdata....04/betfred-world-championship-2018-qualifiers

Alan McManus scraped home 10-9 , Stephen Maguire won 10-4 , Michael White won 10-7 , Ryan Day won 10-1 but I read Mitchell Mann withdrew at 7-1 down through illness , get well soon Mitchell , Liang Wenbo won 10-5 , and onto the real close call matches , Hossein Yafaei won 10-5 , Peter Ebdon won 10-5 , Liam Highfield won 10-6 , Daniel wells won 10-8 so some nice work from 'Da Bookie' and his team of odds setters !:wink::grin-square:

Judgement Day - Part 1 .

Day 1 Frame Scores :

Snookerbacker selections were as follows :

http://www.snookerbacker.com/

Quote .

" Liang Wenbo v Jamie Jones

Liang doesn’t belong here, he has the look of a lost puppy, abandoned by the litter and wondering how he’s landed in the rescue centre, he’s hitting maximums for fun and even missing the last black, because he can. JJ has Crucible previous but can he stop the speedy break building firecracker from catapulting himself to the Last 32? Nah.

JUDGEMENT: Liang 10-5 "

Currently the match scoreline is :

105 Liang Wenbo
0 v 9 Jamie Jones

Jamie Jones , one frame away from whitewashing the Maximum man Liang Wenbo and a Black ball from making history with two maximum breaks in one match , who see that coming and if you did , tell us who you think will win this years 'Worlds' please !

Snooker is a funny old game as John Virgo would say so what's the odds of Liang Wenbo V Jamie Jones ? Let's have a look .
