World Snooker Championships 2014

Ronnie O'Sullivan 7 V 9 Joe Perry

Betting Zone best odds markets:

4/6 Ronnie v Joe 13/10.

The sportingbet website quote 1/4 Ronnie V Joe 14/5 but something tells me that those odds wouldn't be available.

Ronnie was 1/7 favourite to win this match at the start so it's quite a drift in the odds out to 4/6 & if it was a racehorse drifting from 1/7 to 4/6 would you really still bet it ?

If your having a bet best of luck.:thumbup:

Marco Fu is going in the right direction...got him at 40/1..now 27/1.
...by the finals, he'll be 3/2 favorite.:)

Ronnie's last couple frames were ridiculous, highest standard of snooker (for that matter all cue sports) you will ever see

then again, he's the greatest player in all of cue sports ever (sorry Efren)

Ronnie used up a lot of luck to win that match !:eek:

He was lucky that the match was played out over 3 sessions in 3 days because his head was gone in the day 1 first session & if day 1 was played over 2 sessions Joe would've stretched out maybe a 4 frame lead . Second session Ronnie got lucky to win the last frame to make it 9-7 to Joe but maybe Ronnie's luckiest break came when Dr Steve Peters answered his S.O.S. call that flicked the switches to reguide the rocket back on it's orbit path.

Skybet:

I was following the in running betting & at 11.56am Saturday their layers quoted a top price 11/4 on Ronnie to win the tournament but at close of play their quote is now 8/11.

McManus beats Doherty

1/2 Alan V Ken 2/1.

I couldn't find odds for this to be the longest match time at this years tournament but it looks like it's heading that way ! :D

Set your alarm clocks for the 10am starts & pick your choice of viewing & it's either the Ronnie V Joe match or Alan V Ken match.:D:thumbup:

I decided too watch the highlights from the match however well done to both players & they both have a decent pay day & next up for Alan McManus is Mark Selby.

could be a long match that one.:rolleyes::grin-square:

McManus criticises young players:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/27116258

I read this one the other day & I thought what stone have you been hiding under all these years Alan ? How times have change since this young dude called Alan 'Angles' McManus turned up with his snapped cue taped together with yellow sellotape & an elastoplat on his chin to prevent friction burn when cueing shots.....

To easy for elders to criticise the youth of today with all the cybertech gadgets available today but however Alans came from the clouds of the commentary boxes & had a good season but what do the layers lay odds on his next match /

The Draw

Marco Fu is going in the right direction...got him at 40/1..now 27/1.
...by the finals, he'll be 3/2 favorite.:)

http://www.sportinglife.com/snooker/draw/round-2

When the draw was made I thought WOW Ronnie better bring his 'A' game this year as his half of the draw is loaded & he nearly slipped up agaist Joe Perry.

Next up for Marko Fu is Shaun Murphy & that should be a close affair & hopefully a top class match .

Other half of the draw & Mark Allen V Neil Robertson could be fireworks !:wink::cool::grin-square:

Mr Blue V Mr Pink

Betting zone to win outright best odds markets:

http://bettingzone.oddschecker.com/snooker/world-championship/winner

Top 5 best market odds :

4/5 Ronnie , 11/2 , Robertson . 13/2 Selby , 17/2 Trump , 20/1 Hawkins.

Marko Fu gets a best price quote of 41/1 from betfair but when you take a look at the draw and see the quality of players left in the field he has to beat to take the title it's a tough call but the odds are generous.

Colours:

It was hard to take in what was happening with the layers odds earlier because they turned Mr Pink the drifter (O'Sullivan) into Mr Blue the odds shortening & nearly every other player in the field turned into Mr Pink !:eek::grin:

Hawk takes flight to oust Walden

Another match that I didn't catch all the action but from what I seen Barry Hawkins played as well as the form that got him to the final last year but just like every other player in the top half of the draw to reach the final this year you gotta beat The Devil himself & even if you can achieve that feat take a look at the bottom half of the draw for the opponent in the final !:wink::thumbup:

Name The Finalists:

http://bettingzone.oddschecker.com/snooker/world-championship/name-the-finalists

The layers quote are as follows;

Ronnie O'Sullivan/Mark Selby 2/1.

Ronnie O'Sullivan/Neil Robertson 11/4.

Well , I don't know about you but this looks to me like Da Bookie been driving home on flat tyres & can't be bothered to get out of his car to re-inflated & took the long way home !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfApBz4_XQk&feature=kp

Those odds are way too short for you or me & I think that Da Bookie is having a laugh.

Tread carefully ! :wink::rolleyes::eek::thumbup:
