Match is live. Watch JT pocket, oops, pot balls. Incredible the he way fires them in. His pocketing and ball movement are off-the-charts.

Thanks I will look for his match after its uploaded

Which match by the way. With whom is he playing so I can find it

Someone said that Judd plays on a snooker table like he is on a pool table. He shoots the ball up the rails and spins the cueball better than pretty much anyone I can think of.

JT is the only player I like to watch honestly. I think he is going to have an incredible career when it's all said & done.

Check out Ronnie, as well as Neil Robertson. They move the ball pretty well.

I still think Ronnie is the god of snooker. When he's on, there is no better player on the planet at any pocket billiards game.

Incredible. This "unknown" Rory can play. Suddenly. Rory may be the underdog story of this year. Literally a nobody in pool, works as barber, almost 50 years old.
We may see a major upset here  Rory is from Leicester and if he knocks out Trump, it may rival Leicester EPL win last year

Rory is a good player. He's been on the tour for about 16 years or so and has been ranked as high as 32. He's a solid grinder with an all-around game, and he won a minor ranking event in 2015.

I still expect Judd to win, but it was never going to be an easy draw for him.

I'm really impressed with RM's guts. Good match.

I think the pressure is getting to Trump. Blasting reds giving open table and effectively the frame to Rory in 9th frame was shocking and a sign of frustration.
Billed as top tournament favourite by many. Even he put pressure on himself by talking up his chances of winning title this year which really is not a smart thing to do in such a long haul tournament .

I agree ... Ronnie O'Sullivan can play "beautiful game" at a quick pace. I like how he "nibbles" the reds loose from the pack ... dissecting the pack like a surgeon, moving the whitey just to the right place. Whereas Judd plays more "blast the pack" style.

Both plays fairly fast ... which I like.

I think Judd is like Novak Djokovic in late 2000s ... where he was a good top tier player but always below Roger and Nadal. I don't think he's quite made ove the hump to "The Man" yet (like Ronnie or Mark Selby).

World Commentary

I really like watching Ronnie while the commentators talk about adding spin (helping side) on shots without silly things like "ooh, no reason to use side here."

The commentators expect him to use side and Ronnie uses side, just like a pool player would, even when no cushion is even close to being in play.

This isn't surprising to me, and it shouldn't be surprising to any decent pool player. That being said, of the hundreds of hours (not thousands, but hundreds) I've watched snooker through my travels, this is the first time I've heard so much talk from the commentators on the use of side. Maybe they're answering the internet.

Freddie <~~~ hooray for twist

I feel snooker players spin the ball more than they did in the past.
Spinning on the old heavy cloth could be counter-productive....
...the aim was much more difficult because of the massé problem....
....and the spin didn't stay on very long.

Judd is pretty awesome, he's one of about 4 snooker players that i always try to watch.
