I find it very hard to believe that someone shot 15 balls in the pockets in 26.5 sec. That's less than 2 secs. a ball. I'd have to see it and the timer. With just waiting for the q-ball to stop takes almost half of that. Maybe the guy made 7 or 8 on the break. Johnnyt

Pearson

Obviously you have never seen Dave Pearson perform then. I, myself have been in the mid 40 seconds before and I don't practice speedy pool. It is all about a one stroke stop shot where you don't have to move around the table much. I know it is hard to believe that he ran one that fast but it does happen.

Johnny Archer probably wouldn't do too well in this event. Johnnyt

If I remember reading it right, I believe he made 5 or 6 balls on the break, had balls rolling to a pocket while shooting a another one on it's way to the pocket, and had a couple two for ones. Now after hearing that, it sounds much more likely.:)

Thank you Donovan. That does sound a bit better. Johnnyt

BTW, Archer could put up a good time, if they invented lint free/repelling cloth on the table and the surrounding carpet. ;)

I set up 9 balls and ran them in order it took me 26 sec and i set them up as stop shots and started with ball in hand i thought i was fast but obviously not compared to this guy.

I think I'm still going to turn this over the Mythbusters to see if 26.5 sec is possible math wise. Johnnyt:D

I would venture that any pro could put up a good time in speed pool, outside of a match format.

I'm sure it is true. Guiness verifys all of their records.

In the mid 90's, I was goofing around with some friends one night on a bar box and did a time in low 30s. The only difference was we didn't put the eight in last. Any ball, any order.

When planets line up right, Im sure it will be broken. Most likely by Dave himself. He is fun to watch.
