Worst Cue by a Revered Builder.

I was surprised to hear that even the greats do shoot a blank here or there. What do you think the reason is? I’m thinking the wood is the answer but I’d leave that to, Eric of Sugartree. I he knows more about wood species than most and he has family in WI because he offered to deliver a cue when he was visiting dear hunting. I didn’t pull the trigger, I’m priced out now.

What ?
Who?
What’s the question? Sorry my memory isn’t the best. Eric at Sugartree. I’ve conversed w a lot of esteemed cue builders over the years and Eric seemed more like a scientist when it came to wood species. Not saying others don’t, but he dug in the dirt for burl.

What is a dud?
It doesn't have a good sound, feel, playability, poor execution, bad design?
I'm confused.
Are we children? It doesn’t meet your expectations of paying 2-3k plus? I swear this site has lost any intelligence. Honestly my knowledge isn’t worth even posting to morons, who could care less about history, collectors, builders and the rest of what makes us non predator players appreciate our tools! Last post, I’m out.

Not in the market but I still gotta say literally most of the cues I come across have little or worse, negative visual appeal. That ventured; I will go away unless I think of something else.

Worst Cue by guy who was on journey to be top builder Tony Zinzola, blew it producing pure crap.
I gotta nominate Lee Peppers………Yikes!

I have a Sugartree, it didn’t really held well with time.
I don’t know Eric personally, but I have a feeling if you contacted him he’d try to modify the cue to play better or replace it. If it is flawed and not just something you don’t enjoy. I know some cues just aren’t for me, nothing to do with the builder, it purely my preference, but I can tell when a cue plays like crap!
