So what had happen was .... lol
I was up around this time a couple weeks ago and ran across an eBay posting for a Worx for $99. I thought WTH, let's see how it is. I picked up the cue on Saturday. At first glance, it looks okay. Not bad or amazing, just okay.
It came with a little bag and 2 shafts.
I shot a couple balls with the 1st shaft and on the 7th ball the tip popped off. After I switched the shafts, the cue shot pretty good; better than I expected. I believe this is do to the extra weight. The problem is that the shafts are completely lacquered and are very uncomfortable to shoot with overtime without a glove. But you can easily pocket balls with the cue.
One thing I did discovers is that 5/16x18 joint pin can accept Viking shafts. So I plan on replacing the shafts with an older Viking shaft I have. I'll likely donate the cue to my uncle's pool room but I would say this is a good entry level cue as long as you use a glove. Other cue reviews say this brand is hit or miss. Minus the need to replace the cue tip, I think this is an okay cue but not completely what I want(a little to heavy).
Guess I will keep waiting to purchase a custom cue.
